Overview: Labs

Prerequisites

You must set up GNS3 before continuing.

Start here

Every activity follows the same structure:

  1. Predict first — written, before anything runs. Put some effort into this, but don't worry about getting it right the first time.
  2. Do this — lab instructions. Complete this, observe, then read the explanation.
  3. What just happened — the explanation.
  4. Record — what goes into the worksheet.
  5. If it went wrong — troubleshooting hints in case anything went wrong.

What matters

The worksheet you submit at the end of each lab session is proof of work (PoW), not proof of correctness (PoC). You won't be penalized for getting your predictions wrong or something breaking in your labs.

However, you should always seek clarification if you don't understand the task your are asked to perform.
